Symptom

You canceled domains. The domains have expired. Nevertheless you can still see the domains in your webspace control panel.

Cause

Many customers have files saved in the document root directories of domains or e-mails in the domains' mailboxes, even if the domain names have been canceled on the Internet and are no longer available there. Bitpalace does not delete domains from customer accounts (in fact, we never delete any data from customer accounts) so that data cannot be accidentally lost that a customer might want to keep.

Solution

You can delete domains with the "Remove" button or the "Remove" icon of the webspace control panel from the webspace control panel. You do not cancel a domain on the Internet, you simply remove its entry from the webspace control panel so that the web server and mail server no longer react if requests for the domain are received from the Internet. When you delete a domain, you also delete its mailboxes and file contents.
